Bates College Store is the official store of Bates College and is owned and operated by Bates College. All staff are employed by Bates College and all profits go back into the general fund of Bates College.

Consistent with the Bates mission and our institutional ideals, the Bates College Store requires that all licensed vendors and suppliers provide evidence of their corporate code of conduct that confirms a strong commitment to conducting business affairs in a socially, environmentally, and ethically responsible manner. 


If you’d like to work with a vendor to develop any products (such as hats, blankets, or other merchandise) that include Bates marks , you’ll need to be familiar with the college’s licensing agreement. The college marks are controlled under a licensing program with Learfield Licensing Partners, and only vendors who are registered with Learfield are typically permitted to use the Bates marks.
