DeWitt Hardy: Master of Watercolor
This profusely illustrated catalogue covers the over fifty year career of DeWitt Hardy (1940 - 2017). A master draftsman, watercolors were his greatest achievement. Hardy fashioned the coast of southern Maine, its interior woods and fields, houses and factories, and its denizens, into the subjects of his watercolors. In complex and original compositions, Hardy incisively observed a Maine after the tourists had left.
